FAQ

Short answers to the questions that come up most.

Why is gas paid in $STONKBROKER?

Orbit chains can designate any parent-chain ERC-20 as their gas token. Choosing $STONKBROKERmeans every transaction on the network is denominated in the community’s own asset, and users only ever have to hold one thing.

Do I need ETH on StonkBrokerChain?

No. There is no ETH on the chain at all. You need a little ETH on Robinhood Chain for the deposit and claim transactions there, and nothing else.

Does bridging change the supply?

No. Bridging locks $STONKBROKER in escrow on Robinhood Chain and mints the exact same amount as the native coin on StonkBrokerChain, 1:1. Withdrawing reverses it.

How long do withdrawals take?

Minutes, not days — see Fast Finality. Deposits take roughly one minute in the other direction.

Who holds my funds?

Nobody. Bridged $STONKBROKER sits in the canonical rollup bridge contracts on Robinhood Chain, and your balance on StonkBrokerChain is controlled by your own keys. Read Security & Trust Model for the parts that are still operator-trusted.

Can I deploy my own contracts?

Yes — the chain is permissionless and EVM-equivalent. See Deploying Contracts. You only need a wallet with some $STONKBROKER for gas.

Is any of this financial advice?

No. NFA.
Nothing in these docs is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, and nothing here is an offer to buy or sell any security. StonkBrokerChain is experimental infrastructure. Never risk more than you can afford to lose completely.

StonkBrokers is experimental software. Nothing in these docs is financial advice. Stock token swaps are restricted in the United States region.
